Artificially Natural
人造自然(2021)

Artificially natural is inspired from the “to be a plant’’ photography and performance collections, which is my body art creation made from 2021. This book is a prequel for the theory of my researcher project of “Environmental-consciousnesses hypothesis“ which assumes all the inspirations in the world all originate from the environment and human beings and unearth the consciousnesses where they exist in our surroundings. My endeavour is to create performative situations wherein I express my physicality and the manufactured objects (paper and ink) as a representation of our collective interconnectedness with the natural environment. The book depicts the similar relation between the surface of the human body and the veins from nature, which includes the image and the poetry of how I address myself as a plant living in this world, presenting the aesthetics of the consequences of an artificially natural world.

人造自然是從二零二一年創作者王瑄琳的藝術創作裡之表演藝術及攝影系列中“成為一個植物”啟發而來的創作紀錄,這本書也是“環境意識假說”的開端前傳,環境意識假說是在假設如果這世界所有的靈感都來自於環境與人類從而去挖掘存在在環境裡的意識。身為創作者的我,致力於運用自身的身體創作和人造的產物(紙與印泥)去媒合創作者對於身體以及環境之間的相互關係。這本書描繪了人體的紋路和植物的經脈的相似之處,以及運用植物為第一人稱的視角去闡述人造自然的總體美學觀。

十秒的無(2022)

The performer through the self-photography with a film camera, and tripod, use 10 seconds timing function to finish this collection of “10’s of non-being” with herself. She transformed herself into an inorganic substance, embodying the sense of being an inanimate object to live in this world. The expectation of delivering a similar silhouette of the human body shape and the artificial object through the image. How to make a human body into a pure sculpture without emotion and sexuality for making the body became the most magnificent but inconspicuous language in life.

表演者透過用底片自拍的方式,自架腳架,運用十秒定時的功能,讓自己完成一系列「十秒的無」之表演攝影集。她透過成為不同種物件的方式,體會身為物件在這個世界上的感受,希望透過畫面傳遞出人類的身體與這個世界的物件所包含的相同輪廓。如何讓人體成為沒有情緒沒有色慾的單純雕塑,而讓身體成為生活中最美也最不起眼的語言。

What a shitty wor(k)ld
這些爛透的作品;這個該死的世界(2022)


The performer spends eight hours continuously copying the texture of their body using a photocopier. After scanning and uploading the images onto fake social media, the artist has successfully mimicked the repetitive movements that trap them in this social cage. Despite reducing the time to five hours, the act of consuming art through social media has become the inevitable destiny of an artist. Each inch of skin represented in the artwork reflects the artist's passion, sharing their whole selves with the audience. Through this poignant demonstration, the artist satirizes the sorrow of a generation that values mechanized success over authentic, creative expression.


表演者將花費八小時的時間,運用印表機,不停地反覆影印自己身上的紋路,影印後掃描到電腦,最後上傳到假的社交平台。在這基本勞工正常的上班的八小時內,表演者將持續反覆這個規律的運動,諷刺這世代的藝術家,透過社群媒體消費藝術的行為,而社交軟體也漸漸變成藝術家無法脫離的宿命,透過每一寸肌膚的身體照片來對應藝術家對於每一件藝術品的赤裸表現,運用不停地反覆運動來諷此這世代對於成功的機械化模式以及被框架的創作悲哀。
