IRON SHEET

Iron sheet is the subject of the second documentary photography series on the environment consciousness hypothesis theory. I gathered four Taiwan locations to document this topic: a retro ruins house in Ji'an Township, Hualien; a small alley of someone’s house in Jiaoxi Township, Yilan; the iron sheet roof around the area of the former railroad on the landscape in Guishan Township, Taoyuan;  the surface of the iron sheet with the crawling traces made by the snails in Shilin District, Taipei.

Iron has strong ferromagnetism, as well as good plasticity and thermal conductivity. Iron in daily life contains carbon, so it is prone to electrochemical corrosion with water when exposed to oxygen. However, the advantage of low cost has become the reason for the use of the architecture and the surface of the houses in Taiwan. The moist weather and the rain of erosion reacted with the oxygen, conveying the multiple intriguing magic appearances.
